Setting                      : On The Corner Shop of Dave Slatin In Woodend, The Small Village

Plot                          : 

One day in Wooodend, A Stranger arived in this village. he want to bought a house so he was looking around this village. The one of the villagers told about Mr Smith’s house. His house was empty, because Mr Smith was died in summer. A few later, A stanger was bought this house. He fixed some part of the house. In front of this house, there was a big sign “ THE CORNER SHOP Proprietor : Dave Slatin “.  The villagers interested about it. The Corner Shop sold pots, dolls, flower, bread and cakes. This shop was oppened on Monday, 4 th january 1965. Dave Slatin had a new assistant was Anna. Dave Slatin promised the things at the shop were good and cheap. There was a room always locked. In the door had a notice “ SPECIAL ORDERS ONLY, KEEP OUT”. It’s for special order .   

 The shop was very busy, espesially in the summer many tourist came to this shop. Three month was normaly. One day the unusual customer came to this shop. There was miss Greta Gordon. She looking for Mr slatin. Anna ran to the Mr Dave’s room. Mr Dave and Miss Greta into The Special Order. A few minutes, miss Greta came out from this room. She was look terrible, she was crying. She doesn’t the villagers knew, if she came to this shop,  and gived anna a photograph.  The shop was doing well. But anna was not happy, because Anna loved peter and she was going to marry with him. But anna love Mr Dave too, the owner of this shop. Anna was living two lives, Dave or Peter. Dave and Peter had many diffrent. One day, peter invited Anna to watched big match footbal in Mr Hart. The day before the match, the young man came to the shop, at the shop was going to close. He want met Mr Dave. Anna ran to the Mr Dave’s room, and a few minutes Mr Dave came out and met the young man. They into The Special Order Room. 30 minutes later, he came out this room, the condition same with Mrs Greta Gordon. He was walking quickly to his car and drove of. The football match was begin, Anna and Peter came to Mr Hard’s house. The match was very exciting, the both of team play well.  The scored was 2-2, the macth just five minutes left, mike bailey made a goal. After the match, mike bailey was interviewed, but he could not speak, he tried to speak, but he couldn’t, He was terrible. Mike bailey and anna had met before this match at the Corner Shop. 

    Anna didn’t understand about the Special Order Room. When the shop nothing a customers she asked Mr Dave, but he didn’t speak any more.  In autmn,  Arthur Riseman Came to the shop, he want met a Mr Dave. She looked at the man’s case, there was a latter A.R.I.C.S. Anna wrote down the latter. She understand A.R, it was “Arthur Riseman”. But she didn’t know I.C.S. They went to The Special Order Room. a few minutes, he got out from this room and leave the shop. Anna look for, what is the meaning about I.C.S ?, she searched in the newspaper, radio, TV, magazines, but anna heart nothing.  Anna’s idea she went to london, and looking for  the I.C.S meaning. She took a latter at the shop. Anna went by train. After that, anna saw the latter I.C.S at the rail station. “International Computer Service”, that was Mr Riseman’s company. She call this company, but  he had some meeting with his customer. She looked the newspaper, there was the information if the plane of I.C.S was crash. She got home at ten o’clock, she turn on the radio, she want to know what  happened about I.C.S accident. The old Chairman was died, so Mr Riseman was the new Chairman.

She was thingking about Mr dave and the special customer. On sturday, she came to the shop, Mr dave was angry with her. Because, she had not worked at Friday. Mr dave left the shop.  She walked to the Special Order Room, and turned the handle. That room was not locked, Mr dave forgot to locked it. She went into the room. It was small room, and not a very strong light. She look around this room. Anna found some things, there were lots of moneys, dirty clothes some doll with broken arm, some pictures of football and aero plane. Anna looked confused. Why Mr dave always locked this room. Suddenly, there was noisy behind her. Someone was standing at the door. It was Mr Dave. He told all the special customer. From Miss Greta, Mike Bailey and Mr Riseman. All the things at this room has reletion with the three customers. Anna tried to move away. Anna was terrified. She kicked dave slatin very hard and move quickly, she ran out to he shop.  When Anna got home, she felt terrible and went to bed. At seven o’clock, there a fire a the corne shop. Dave was standing at the window. He didn’t move. Dave slatin was died.

Moral                                     : Don’t judge the book from the cover.

Opinion                      : I think this book ver well. This book can make someone to know what the meaning of the life. How to patio
